Message from the Community Lay Director
Dearest Fellow Emmaus Brothers and Sisters,
As I mentioned at the last community meeting, it would be really cool to pack Wilshire Park Baptist Church the last three meetings for 2009. Let’s try to fill the pews up for several reasons:
- It would be really cool and would create more excitement.
- The pilgrims coming off the last two walks would be impressed.
- I would try and make the meeting shorter to enable more songs and more people to partake in the Lord’s Supper.
- It would create momentum going into 2010.
- It would anger the enemy, to see that once again, the power of the Lord will always prevail.
Another walk has filled! We (the community) have filled every walk this year without struggle. Our only downer was not having the boys Flight and not filling the girl’s flight (we tried). However, I don’t think it will be the same story next year, due to the efforts of many this year. God bless those of you that are helping in the Chrysalis endeavor. Please sign up and help the Chrysalis movement any chance you get. So please, encourage every person that you know in Emmaus to attend the remaining Candlelight’s, closings, and the remaining 3 meetings. If you are not being utilized by Emmaus and you want to help, let a board member know and we will get you plugged in somewhere, quickly. Let’s finish the year in a mighty way. It is time to change our world, help get more leaders in the churches, and spread Christ’s love in a mighty way. We can do it together! God bless you all!
