Well, here we are starting the second half of 2010 and God has so blessed us. We have had three brimming Walks and now begins our Chrysalis season. At this time, we have 14 girls on the Flight with at least two more coming and feel we are going to make this work. The Boys Flight has four boys and we still have two weeks to get that one full.
Please take it upon yourself to figure out who God wants YOU to send on these Flights. Jody and Ann have been so diligent and faithful in their service and the caterpillars are out there. God wants us to step out of our comfort zone to go find them. Take it to heart that it is YOUR job to figure out who those youth are. God will answer if we will all truly ask. You may not find a caterpillar but make it your goal to ASK at least one.
Our Fourth Day Speakers have been so good to speak to our hearts. Make it your goal to be at this next community meeting where we hear from God again through one of his servants and also get to celebrate the end of one Chrysalis and the onset of another. We are working with Odessa to try and work with them next year to fill and sustain the Chrysalis movement in the Permian Basin.
Our Walk for September already has 32 Pilgrims! Can you believe it? God is working in this community and we should be getting down on our knees to thank him for his mercy and grace towards us. Charlotte Bosecker is so excited about getting everything together for the September Walk. I know that Eli's already got Pilgrims signed up for the October Men's Walk and Amy has folks signed up for November. God is GOOD!
Start working on that Agape for the Chrysalis and be baking those brownies.
PLEASE THINK OF WHO MIGHT BE AN OPTION FOR NEXT YEAR'S LAY DIRECTORS. HEIDI IS TAKING THOSE NOMINATIONS NOW.
I look forward to seeing your bright smiling faces at the next Community Meeting, July 27th, at First United Methodist Church at 7:00. Don't miss this one, as we will be privileged to see God's work in the life of our youth.
Christ is Counting on You. Are you Counting on Him?
De Colores,
Martha Manulik
