Message from the Community Spiritual Director

Have your heard it?  Have you noticed? There is a fresh language being spoken in our community.  It sounds just like Jesus.  People are speaking of full walks, there is mention of team members being anxious to be work, community meetings are joyful, even the musicians have joined in and are singing of the love and the greatness of God.  There’s a new mind-set and a fresh excitement in Hi Sky Emmaus community.  And I love it.  Don’t you?  This kind of language is pleasing to God. Listen and you will hear conversations of sponsoring family members, co-workers and people at church. We prayed for full walks and God has certainly answered our prayers. 

I believe He responds to the prayer of faith and that’s what we have been praying.  Recently at one of our team meetings we discovered that we have a choice between two languages to speak. Complaining is the language of darkness and praise is the language of light. I see and hear light in our community.  If you haven’t learned this language, begin now to practice speaking it.  Instead of negative words, speak words of praise.  If there is anything lovely, speak of those things. 

The Bible tells us to speak only those words that are edifying to the Body of Christ.  I’ve heard it, I’ve noticed it and I love it.
