Men’s Walk #177 – Feb. 7-10, 2008

Greetings Community,

Men's Walk #177 on Feb. 7-10, 2008 will be the first walk of the year. This walk is going to need LOTS of help from above and LOTS of help from YOU!! At this time we are blessed with 3 pilgrims. If there is a man in your life that needs to go on a walk, or if you know of ANY fellers that need to go on a walk, this is the walk to be on! Our deadline for filling the walk is fast approaching. It would be a great blessing to "kick off" the new year with a full walk! Our first team meetings will be held January 18 and 19. The good Lord has formed this team and it's going to be "the best walk ever"! Be sure to watch for the clipboards going around at the January 22nd Community meeting to sign up for gift and food agape.

Women’s Walk #178 – Mar. 6-9, 2008

Hello Everyone and Happy New Year!!! What a gift God has given us, 365 more days to serve Him and each other and continue the harvest!! Walk #178 team is completed and our first meeting is January 18 (I'm not sure when you will be reading this!) What a blessed experience this has been to work with the Lord in this way, truly awesome, and He has put together a very special team indeed!!! We have 12 pilgrims already and the other 24 are being prepared right now!!!! There are only 2 community meetings before the walk, so be sure and sign up on the agape lists and prayer vigil!! I thank you for that in advance. Pray, Pray, Pray!!!!

Committee Reports

• Agape Committee – No report.
  
  
• Administration Committee – Book Table: Thank you for all the books and materials you give for the sake of others and their Walk experience. Keep up the good work!
  
  
• Gatherings Committee – The community meetings for the year 2008 will be held at Greater Ideal Baptist Church Life Center, 301 S. Tyler, with our first meeting being on January 22, 2008. Fellowship always follows the meeting, so remember to bring some refreshments and join in good Christian fellowship with your Hi-Sky Emmaus Community members.

• Chrysalis Committee – Happy New Year!!! And a great way to have a great New Year is to sign up your teenager for a Chrysalis!!! We have a Girls Chrysalis June 12-15 with DeDe Willis as the Lay Director, and a Guys Chrysalis July 10-13 with Greg Birdsall as Lay Director. If you have a teenager between the age of 15-19, then get them signed up and give them the best gift they could receive this year! Don't wait, get them signed up today!!!! . • Nominating Committee – The Nominating committee thanks you for your participation in the 2008 Board nominations and election. • Team Selection – Team selection has been completed for the first two walks of 2008 (MW#177-Paul Anderson, Lay Director and WW#178-Susan Watson, Lay Director), and will begin soon for MW#179-Bill Thomas, Lay Director. Look for cards in the pews at the next Community meeting if you are interested in working walks in 2008.
