Message from the Community Lay Director

Dear Community,

Well the old year is out and a new one has started. We get a chance to be new again. I pray that we all will have a blessed and faith-filled new year!! I say faith-filled because I truly feel we (Hi Sky) need to take a giant step out in faith. God has placed all of us in this community to work "in faith" with Him.

You may ask yourself “What can we do ‘in faith’ as a community?” Well I'm glad you asked....WE need to do everything we can to fill every walk!!! Talk to friends, your co-workers, your family…anyone GOD places on your heart!!! Get the paperwork filled out and LET GOD get to work...It is not our place to decide if the walk will make or not. It is our place to be FAITHFUL to do what we know we need to do until God tells us different!!!

WE also need to be open when we are asked to help. No matter what the task. Who knows, we might just learn something new if we are open to God’s calling. I'm pretty sure that God doesn't really need our help to reach someone (i.e., burning bush, talking donkies, handwriting on the wall... you get the idea). BUT... I believe God WANTS us to help Him!!! To be FAITHFUL!!! So, this is my prayer for you and the Hi Sky Community – that we be faithful and have a FAITH-FILLED year.
