Message from the Community Lay Director

Dear Community,

August is quickly passing and with its passing we will soon feel the breath of autumn. This season always brings wonderful sights and sounds with it. I can only imagine how beautiful it will be here this year with everything in full leaf.

Change can be difficult to experience but it can create beauty in us. Let us pray that we may all be changed into a greater likeness of Christ through the acts of service He entrusts into our care.

Barry Horseman shared many changes that God has wrought in his life and Fourth Days. Thank you for sharing your heart with us.

And let us pray that the change from Caterpillar to Butterfly will bring beautiful growth into the lives of the young men on Chrysalis Flight #39. Thank you to Kerry Mansour and his team for allowing God to use them on this team.

As Ken Arnold and Mary Seay continue to humbly prepare for the September Men’s Walk and the November Women’s Walk, let us keep them in our prayers. Let us pray for those men and women whose season is now and who will be attending those Walks.

Thank you to our 2008 Lay Directors who have answered God’s call on their lives to serve in this special way. Please keep them in your prayers also.

So as the seasons slowly slide one into the next, let us praise God for the abundant blessing He is bestowing and generously showers those around us with prayer and care.
